Week of 10-31 to 11-4

6th
To complete our chapter 5 material, we will be discussing oil use throughout the world and its impact on our environment. We will be having our chapter 5 test on Thursday.

Notes, section review questions, and the review completed in class are all great tools for studying and preparting for the test.

7th
We will be discussing our impact on land this week. We will be conducting an ongoing experiment that compares the decomposition of varying materials (synthetic vs. natural)

8th
We will continue our studies of ocean pollution and ocean life. We will be using microscopes to observe pond water, as well as research in the lab various sea creatures and their uses in medicine.

We will be having our chapter 19 test on Friday.

Week of 10-11 to 10-14

6th-
We will be completing and review for our chapter on minerals. We will be having our chapter 3 test on Thursday. Look for a study guide to come home Wednesday evening, along with notes to study from.

7th-
We will be completing our discussions of volcanoes this week. We will be reviewing in class on Tuesday, with a test on Wednesday. Study guide will be coming home Tuesday evening.

8th-
We will be working on climate chapter. We will be doing a brief experiment modeling El Nino. Our chapter 17 test will be Thursday. Look for a review to come home Wednesday night.
